THE STATION · 01 · SURVIVE

Built to help teams hold together under pressure.

A team game, played in real time, and the conversation it starts.

What it is

A facilitated team exercise, played as a real-time multiplayer game. Your team plays together for about half an hour, then talks through how it went.

Psychological safety

Psychological safety is whether people on a team feel able to speak up, ask for help or own a mistake without it costing them. THE STATION puts a team in exactly those moments, under pressure, then gives it the space to talk about what happened.

The safety net

Speaking up is easier when you know someone will catch you. THE STATION is built for teams to practise being that safety net for each other.

What it’s for

  • Designed to help teams practise speaking up, asking for help and backing each other under pressure.
  • Built to show a team how it communicates when it matters, and to give it a shared language to improve it.
  • A shared challenge the whole team plays together, not another workshop.

The debrief

Afterwards, a facilitator leads a conversation about what the room did. It describes the room, never an individual.

How a session runs

Facilitated by Plus Ultra Innovations, in person or remotely, for teams of up to ten, each on a laptop. About half an hour of play; the whole session, with briefing and debrief, runs up to about two hours. Players don’t create accounts, and nothing about an individual leaves the room.

SURVIVE is the first of a planned series.

It complements your psychosocial risk management. It doesn’t replace it.
